No, this is different. They let you cash out giftcards on the 3DS itself, I was trying to use a credit card to get credit. Apparently, Nintendo restricted the adding of eShop credit via credit card on consoles set to European region (like mine). Another dumb thing they made, you can only redeem codes now.
