I'm still dumbfounded how Nintendo chose to use the NSMBU style in SMM for the 3DS despite the quality looking awful and could have easily used NSMB2 instead

Still, I don't understand mario maker for 3DS... Like the whole point of the game is uploading levels to the server and playing them, without uploading you only get 50% of the game. And if there's no uploads, why even bother with a level editor? Even baba is you, that was originally meant as a puzzle game, now has an editor which lets you upload. The game wasn't even meant to have an level editor in the first place, it was supposed to be a pack of about 200 levels to play.
