What actually happened to https://supermariomakerbookmark.nintendo.net ? It used to display a "This service has been discontinued." page, however it now just 404's like the site never existed.

They probably just deleted the site because it's been shut down for over 9 months and it was taking up space on Nintendo's servers.

Hosting for just a small HTML page like this costs virtually nothing, and regarding the domain, Nintendo still uses nintendo.net for game servers on the Switch and id.nintendo.net.

But gotta squeeze every single last penny...
